Associate Staff Engineer(Automation QA)

Must have Skills : Playwright with TypeScript, Chinese speaking Good To Have Skills : Selenium, Java (Capable) Job Description : Roles and Responsibilities: - (major) Design & Develop: Build and maintain robust Playwright E2E test scripts across multiple product renderers. - Release Testing Ownership: Independently analyze release scope, identify testing requirements, and execute comprehensive release validation to ensure production readiness. - CI/CD: Debug, analyze, and fix test failures in Harness CI pipelines and BrowserStack cloud execution environments. - Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with manual QA, developers, and product teams on test case mapping, coverage analysis, and defect reproduction. - Framework Evolution: Continuously improve and extend our existing automation framework with best practices. - Testing Risk Management: Proactively identify testing risks, escalate blockers, and drive mitigation strategies. - Agile Participation: Actively contribute in Scrum ceremonies and sprint planning. Must-Have: - Solid hands-on experience with Playwright for end-to-end UI automation (locators, auto-waiting, fixtures, reporters, parallel execution). - Strong proficiency in TypeScript with a focus on writing clean, maintainable test code. - Proven experience implementing Page Object Model (POM) with clear separation of concerns (actions, assertions, locators). - Familiarity with YAML / JSON for test data management and environment-specific configuration. - Proven ability to independently analyze release requirements, plan testing scope, and drive end-to-end release testing with minimal supervision. - Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. - Ability to analyze CI test failures, identify root causes, and resolve flaky or unstable tests. - Proficiency with Git, pull request workflows, and code review in a collaborative engineering team. - Knowledge of multi-locale test execution and localization testing. - good oral English Nice-to-Have: - Experience with Cursor or similar AI coding agent tools. - Familiarity with Harness CI and BrowserStack cloud testing platforms. - PlayWright Agents
