About the Role We are seeking an experienced Web Developer to join our client's team and take ownership of website maintenance, troubleshooting, custom development, and technical integrations. This role is ideal for a developer with strong WordPress expertise and a back-end or full-stack background who enjoys solving technical challenges, optimizing website performance, and building custom functionality. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with WordPress development, PHP, API integrations, hosting environments, and website performance optimization. A portfolio showcasing custom development work, plugin customization, integrations, and custom functionality is required. Key Responsibilities Website Maintenance & Technical Support - Resolve website issues, bugs, and support requests - Troubleshoot hosting, DNS, and server-related problems - Manage website migrations with minimal downtime - Maintain website stability, security, and functionality Custom Development - Build and customize website functionality based on project requirements - Develop and modify WordPress themes and plugins - Create clean, maintainable, and well-documented code - Troubleshoot and resolve compatibility issues between plugins and custom code Integrations & Automation - Build and maintain API integrations - Configure CRM, email marketing, and third-party platform connections - Ensure accurate data synchronization across systems - Troubleshoot integration failures and performance issues Website Performance Optimization - Improve page speed and Core Web Vitals performance - Implement caching strategies, image optimization, and CDN configurations - Monitor and optimize website performance across devices and browsers Requirements - 9+ years of professional web development experience - Strong WordPress development experience - Strong PHP skills (required) - Experience with: - HTML5 - CSS3 - JavaScript - WordPress theme customization - Plugin customization - API integrations - Experience managing: - cPanel - DNS records - Linux hosting environments - Website migrations - Experience working within a digital marketing or web development agency - Experience using AI tools in professional workflows within the last 2 years - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities - Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities - Professional English communication skills Nice to Have - Full-stack development experience - Custom plugin development experience - Experience with SiteGround and WP Engine - Experience with CRM integrations - Familiarity with Google Analytics, Tag Manager, and conversion tracking - Experience optimizing websites for Core Web Vitals Benefits - Competitive salary: $3,000 USD per month (depending on experience) - Fully remote work environment - Long-term growth opportunities - Collaborative team culture - Exposure to diverse technical projects and technologies This position is only open to candidates residing in Latin American (LATAM) countries, including Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela.
